Western Red Cedar

Western red cedar is a soft and valuable material with amazing color variations. You’ll never know exactly what it will look like: sometimes the interior might be quite evenly colored, and sometimes there are huge variations from light to dark even in the same board. When treated with oil, the color will turn darker. It has a strong scent that some find appealing, but might cause reactions to sensitive and allergic persons.
